Thought of the Day, Courtesy of Ashley Bell (again) Jill Elizabeth posted this on November 4th, 2016 I know, I know – I quoted him the other day, but I can’t help it – this one is GREAT too, and such a fantastic description of fiction…
Some people thought that novels were a kind of lie, because the stories and the characters were made up, but fiction could be a search engine with which you could find elusive truths that writers of non-fiction rarely if ever considered, either because they did not believe such truths existed or because they did not want them to exist.
