Honeymoon Beach Reading (Part 2 of 2)

So yesterday I regaled you with tales of how little I read on my honeymoon beach trip, and promised a list of fun books to take if you happened to be heading beach-ward anytime soon…  Well, here is said list.

It’s a lot of fluffy, goofy, fun stuff – nothing too serious or heavy, all pretty much available in mass-market paperbacks – you know, the kind that you can read, let get all sandy/splashed/beach-bag dented and either throw or give away or replace cheaply.  There’s a lot of mystery, more than a few love stories, a lot of witty and snarky dialogue, and a little blood and guts.  All the makings of edge-of-your-seat, page-turning, missed-dinner-because-you-can’t-put-the-book-down vacation reading.

Woohoo, she said!

I don’t know about you, but I tend to over-pack books (teehee).  You know, just in case.  I mean, come on, how are you supposed to know in advance exactly what type of story you are going to want on a given day?  That’s why you have to have a variety of things to pick from – some fiction and some non-fiction, some classics and some fluff, some creepy and some tear-jerky.  Normally, I do top ten lists.  In honor of those other over-packers out there (you know who you are – don’t be ashamed, stand up proudly and be counted!), I’m going to give you a top twenty-five on this one (in alphabetical order, since I couldn’t bring myself to rank-order them).  Just to make sure you’re covered in case of a long vacation…  Can’t have you running out of book options, now can we?  (teehee)

Happy vacation (even if you aren’t going anywhere)! 🙂
