You Like Me, You Really Like Me! (teehee)

Well hooray for me – I’ve won an award! Thanks to the generosity of MaryAnn at Chapter by Chapter, I am now the proud recipient of a Versatile Blogger Award… Thank you so much MaryAnn!!

When receiving this award, there are just a few things you do next:

  • Thank and link the blogger who nominated you (this seems like it would go without saying, though!)
  • Share seven random facts about yourself.
  • Spread the love! Pass the award on to five other bloggers. Make sure to contact and congratulate them!

I already did the thanking – that does go without saying, after all, I wasn’t raised by wolves! – but will do it again in the interest of thoroughness: Thank you again MaryAnn, what a treat to see this today!!

And now on to my seven random facts:

  • I have always wanted to be able to play the piano (I’m jealous MaryAnn!). I can’t carry a tune in a bucket, sadly, but always thought it would be so wonderful to be able to launch into a soothing bit o’ music at random intervals…
  • I used to want a pettable pet (no insult intended, Butch and Sundance – you are my favorite dwarf frogs ever and I wouldn’t trade you for anything – but I don’t think we’d have so much fun if I tried petting/playing with you…) – then I got to spend time as a pet caretaker (ah, Fritz the cat…) because The Fiancee’s kids have a cat. I no longer want a pettable pet. God bless you Butch and Sundance, for your lack of pettable (and therefore sheddable) fur…
  • I am trying hard to switch my caffeine addiction from diet coke to coffee. I feel like a grown-up, step-mom, married lady should drink an adult drink – it’s hard to exercise parental authority (“no, you can’t have soda for breakfast”) when I am, in fact, having soda for breakfast. Let’s just say some days are easier than others and leave it at that…
  • I currently have the longest fingernails I’ve ever had in my life because I’m getting married Saturday (HOORAY!) and knew that there would be pictures of my hand with rings on. Said fingernails are driving me insane and I can’t wait for Sunday so I can cut them off.
  • My favorite smell lately is new-baby head. My best friend’s darling sweet little Sean Patrick will soon have no scent left on him anywhere because I keep sniffing it all away via his head…
  • I miss playing volleyball or softball or any sport. Sadly, my knees do not. Sigh.
  • I love the smell of pumpkin things, but hate the taste of them. Eew.

And now, without further ado, my five blog choices for the award:

Congrats everyone, and thanks for running blogs that I love to visit!! πŸ™‚
