She’s Going on Vacation AGAIN?! Harrumph.

Yes, it’s true. I’m going on vacation AGAIN. Only this time, with the family – not just by myself… So I won’t be around all week. To prove I’m not totally selfish though, I am leaving you with some things to read/places to visit.  (What a nice girl…)

Things to Do/Read/See While I’m on Vacation (teehee)

  • The galleries at Francletography – wanna see some very cool pictures taken by The Husband and The Father-in-Law?  They have sports pictures and local events (which are interesting if you know what’s local) but there is also a gallery of photos of Aruba (under “Portfolio”) that is amazing.  I advise starting there…  🙂
  • Veronica Sicoe’s blog – I’m a new convert.  Vero gives great writer advice and her short story “Forget-me-not” is eerie and creepy and evocative in the best possible way.  While you’re there, be sure to sign up for her email list, so the goodies keep coming.
  • My GoodReads page – if you miss the “what’s Jill reading now?” tidbits, you can keep abreast of my reading progress anytime!
  • Write On… from the fabulous Ms. Tracy Brown – she’s not only my personal guru, she’s also a very talented writer.  So check her out!
  • My brand-spanking new Facebook page – I’m trying to get better about social media (hats off to TLB…  😉 ) so am going to be trying to be better about posting updates (and Tweeting – I shan’t forget Tweeting!  It’s worth more than my life if I do, because Tracy my Guru of All Things Marketing will kill me for forgetting the Tweets!  teehee).  Oh, and while you’re here, “like” me please.  And make all your friends like me.  I need at least 30 likes to start seeing stats and interesting data-geek info – which I want to see.  Oh yeah, and while you’re here to also comment or say something – anything…  I need feedback.  Always.  🙂
  • And last but certainly not least, the New York Review of Books blog – there’s always a ton of interesting stuff here, on topics from Afghanistan to zebras – and everywhere in between…

That’s a start – and pretty good, considering I usually only give you 3 things to read in a week.  😉  See you Labor Day Monday!

Well have an awesome time, Ms. Fab Jill! 😀

I’m thinking I need to take a little road trip soon – perhaps an Irish Pub in our very new future when you come back???

Also, just in case my email gets buried in your in-box, the version of Numbers you sent on August 20, is that the most up-to-date? Let me know if yes, or if not, send the updated version and I’ll read that one!

Chaos ruling over here – crazy family stuff, biz stuff, and apparently, I have a wicked head cold. Sniff. Frown.

Can’t wait to hear about vacay! Oh, and thanks for the shout out too! You so rule!

    • It was a very good time indeed, but I’m more tired than before we left… 😉

I’m ALWAYS up for a meeting at O’Lacy’s, just say the word on that. Crazy stuff going on here too, although not as crazy – hope the cold and family things are improving as much as they’re able. Lemme know when you want to get together!

And I can’t wait to investigate your simplification stuff – I’m going to have to do something to power through the last few months if I want to have both books done, so can use some suggestions. Have a great Tuesday!
