What’s New

So I thought I’d use today’s post as an opportunity to mention the cool new stuff that is available through the website/blog.  So, in no particular order, here’s what’s new:

  • My Annual Reading Lists – For a number of years now I have be compiling annual reading lists, including ratings of the books I read.  For more information/insight into the lists, visit the “Reading Lists Explained” section which includes an explanation of what is there and how the ratings work;
  • Optimized-for-mobile viewing for the on-the-go, techno-savvy audience I am hoping to attract (actually, I’m hoping to attract ANY kind of audience – cool smart people would be gravy);
  • More ways to “like” various web pages and posts, including Digg, Buzz, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter;
  • Links to the Jill-Elizabeth.com LinkedIn Group, Facebook Group, and Jill-Elizabeth.com website (which you may recognize as the Page Formerly Known as the Blog); and
  • My Library – The components of The Official Jill-Elizabeth Library will soon be available for your viewing pleasure!  As I am a huge Jork (for a definition of Jork, please visit the “Reading Lists Explained” subpage of the “My Annual Reading Lists” section of the website), I actually have library cataloguing software which made this possible.  Incidentally, this is an amazingly cool program and totally worth checking out – it is Book Collectorz available through www.Collectorz.com, and it allows you to either manually enter information or use a barcode scanner and data pulls from various sources such as Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, the Library of Congress, and various international libraries to compile a comprehensive database of your personal stash.

Still to come:

  • A Gallery O’ Pictures – Despite my long-standing, oft-cited aversion to multiple pictures of my very own self, we have started adding oh-so-fabulous pictures of me Hard at Work, Looking Serious, Full of Shame and Shocked and Appalled (teehee – get a 404 error and you’ll understand), and of Bits o’ Library and The Official Workspace;
  • An About Me section containing The Official Authorized Autobiographical Sketch of Jill-Elizabeth, replete with photos (or at least with a few); and
  • More pictures, more blog posts, and generally just more, more, more of anything else that seems like it might be interesting and/or even remotely relevant.

And if anyone out there in the cyber-world thinks of anything else that might be interesting to add, please feel free to comment.  Suggestions are always welcome and I promise not to mock anything weird too severely.  Seriously.  Teehee.  😉
