Since 2003 (the year I graduated from law school), I have been keeping track of the books I read. Originally, this was accomplished via spreadsheet with a series of very dork-like statistics and graphs. I rated, ranked, and tracked pages and titles and miscellaneous other things. I have always been asked for recommendations – even as a child – and have also always had a problem buying/borrowing duplicate titles without realizing it, and this helped me keep track of things. Then in 2011 I discovered the miracle of GoodReads, and they started keeping track for me (thank heavens).
