Picking up where things ended when the Door to Door series (also Book 2 and Book 3) ran its course, Thin Witchline brings readers fully into the world of witches, and its a world you won’t want to enter but won’t be able to leave…

Brown’s writing continues to be excellent, and her characters continue to drive her stories. But the whole feel and scope of Lucie’s world is different from that of Emily Swift, and different in a fast-paced, violent, multi-faceted way that really resonated with me. I loved the Door to Door books, and was worried that I wouldn’t want to see those characters drawn into the darkness, but with a deft touch and a finesse that is wholly her own, Brown managed the transition seamlessly.

This is the next level of the magical world she has crafted, and it’s a treacherous place indeed. The tension is palpable, as is the promise of release that is never quite delivered when (or how) you expect it to be. The layers of deception, mystery, and hidden meaning are piled atop one another in a confection of a story – and this is only the first book in the series. With an ending that demands you race after the next installment the day it releases, Brown has done an incredible thing here – she’s upped the ante, and her game, and done it in a way that drew me back into supernatural romance/horror…
