Book Review: Daughter of Ra by M. Sasinowski

I finished Book One and just happened to see that Book Two was available a few days later – much to my delight! This is a FANTASTIC series and I cannot say enough good things. Sasinowski has done a marvelous job creating a wholly original world that is compelling and engaging and full of energy, surprises, and enough secrets and lies to keep readers frantically turning pages to see what comes next.

In this second installment, we get a lot more of the background for the mythology that underpins the series, and I found that fascinating. There is a very original blend of Egyptian and Atlantean storytelling going on here, overlaid by a modern power-grab that is guaranteed to grab you by the throat and refuse to let go.

There’s one book left, and I cannot wait to see how things conclude. There are a lot of moving parts here, and the author has done a deft job at manipulating people, events, and settings to generate a maelstrom that centers around a fabulously strong-willed female protagonist who bobs and weaves like a professional boxer, never fazed by the unusual or outlandish but instead taking it all on the chin as she races to save herself, her family (born and made) and her world(s).

It’s a really entertaining series and definitely worth picking up.

My review copy was provided by the author. This did not in any way affect my decision to review it and, as always, the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own. The book is simply that good!
